The W.S. Wadsworth Building was erected in Eureka Springs, Arkansas in 1890. This advertisement from 1893 describes its beginnings as a mercantile: "W.S.Wadsworth Building - Dealer in Wall Paper, Furniture, Carpets, Curtains, Etc., China, Glass and Fancy Queensware - Being the Oldest Established House in the City - Five Story Stone and Brick Building, Corner Spring and Mountain."

Since its creation as the W.S. Wadsworth Specialty Store, this fine old building has housed the Case Hardware Store, the Eureka Technical Institute, a leather shop, apartment living, various retail concerns, and once was home to the Eureka Springs Times Echo newspaper!
