Eureka Springs Condo/Townhouse - $ 144,900

THE WADSWORTH CONDOS: Luxury Living in the Heart of Eureka Springs
Are you ready to treat yourself to a new way of life? A strong anchor in the victorian village of Eureka Springs, the Wadsworth Building is one of the oldest free-standing structures in the city. Throughout its life, this gracious stone and brick beauty has been a mercantile for hardware, china and glass, carpet and home furnishings. Today it’s main level contains two retail shops, while the upper two floors make up the Wadsworth Condos.

Each living space has been carefully renovated to enhance the character and feel of the building, while incorporating modern amenities, such as stainless steel Energy Star appliances, custom cabinetry with granite countertops, and tiled tub/shower surrounds. You’ll be charmed by the high ceilings, built-in shelving, original long leaf pine floors, exposed brick walls; as well as the downtown and mountain views from the nearly floor-to-ceiling windows. You’ll have security and convenience with the restricted access building and gated parking.

With gourmet dining, unique shopping, art galleries and lively entertainment just steps or a trolley ride from your door, you think you’ve escaped to a simpler time and place!

The W.S. Wadsworth Building was erected in Eureka Springs, Arkansas in 1890. This advertisement from 1893 describes its beginnings as a mercantile: "W.S.Wadsworth Building - Dealer in Wall Paper, Furniture, Carpets, Curtains, Etc., China, Glass and Fancy Queensware - Being the Oldest Established House in the City - Five Story Stone and Brick Building, Corner Spring and Mountain."

Since its creation as the W.S. Wadsworth Specialty Store, this fine old building has housed the Case Hardware Store, the Eureka Technical Institute, a leather shop, apartment living, various retail concerns, and once was home to the Eureka Springs Times Echo newspaper! The Wadsworth building has had a long and colorful past as an interesting place to visit and live, just as Eureka Springs itself. Come & experience a piece of the history.
