About Beth

Beth has a strong track record in sales and marketing of consumer goods and media, working with two different companies that grew from start-ups into multi-hundred-million dollar, nationally recognized brands.  She was the third employee at Acorn Media, which now owns 80% of Agatha Christie Ltd.  She was also a driving force at Gaiam, where she worked to make sure that no bookstore in America was complete without a yoga section, working closely with Barnes & Noble, Borders, Amazon, Books-A-Million and other chains.

Seeking relief from the frenzied pace of life in the Washington DC area, she moved to Eureka Springs in 1999, where her grandmother had taken her to shop for toys and antiques as a child.

After dreaming of moving here for so long, her dream came true at age 29, when she was among the first to work remotely from home, regularly flying out of XNA to negotiate product placements and sales contracts with companies as large as Walgreens in Chicago and as small as Exhale Yoga Studios in Los Angeles.  Coming home to Eureka again and again was a blessing.

Now, making others' dreams of moving to the Ozarks come true feels like her calling in life.  She is happy to work with out-of-state clients, being their eyes and ears here in town, and happy to work with sellers to find just the right client who will love the property and community.

Beth works together with her childhood sweetheart and husband Jimmy Smith, whose 37 years of construction experience and knowledge of the Ozarks are invaluable.  Together, they owned and operated the Maplewood Manor, a city-licensed B&B in the heart of Eureka Springs for 4 years.  Beth has also worked at Bear Creek Nursery, propagating thousands of plants and driving the tractor, and as a wedding sales coordinator for a local florist.  She knows Eureka Springs!
